This elopement in Zermatt was just magical. It was my first time ever doing a photoshoot there! I was crazy excited when Suli asked me to do this styled elopement in May with her. I mean, how do you not want to take pictures in this beautiful place, right in front of the famous Matterhorn? This elopement was the perfect opportunity for me to location scout, create some photos for my portfolio, and especially gain some experience in capturing an elopement. When Lisi & Timon agreed to model for this shoot, we were particularly enthusiastic. Almost exactly one year ago, me and Suli had the honour of photographing their wedding.
Often, the weather in the mountains is pretty unpredictable. This day as well. There were a lot of clouds, and we didn’t know if we were even able to see the Matterhorn. But still, we started this adventure with the famous Gornergratbahn from Zermatt. And we weren’t disappointed! The view was still crazy beautiful and on the way up, for some moments we could almost see the whole Matterhorn. This day just proved to me, that you can, even with “bad weather” take amazing photos! After the train ride, we walked to the Riffelsee, which was due to the snowing the days prior covered in snow. So we chose to go up to a higher spot and took the photos there. I mean, how stunning do they look?!
Later, we went down and took some more pictures on a field and near a river close to Zermatt. This whole day was just so beautiful, and I’m looking forward to all the elopements I’m going to have this year.

What is an elopement?
You can think of an elopement as a really small wedding. Usually, there is just the couple and maybe a few other people like the family. It’s more about intimacy, reading the vows to each other’s and really be present.

How do we plan our elopement?
After your inquiry, we can discuss all the details. I really want this day to feel like you and not just some posed pictures. There are a lot of beautiful spot that I know, and we can really get into the details like timeline, what you are expecting, your wishes and the location.

Do you want to work with me? Or get some more information about how to elope? I’m really looking forward to your inquiry!
